Playchute Prices and Sizes

We would not recommend a Playchute smaller than 5m if you want to play all the games as a leader.

Because all our Playchutes are individually handmade, the finished diameter may vary. The sizes in the following tables are approximate finished dimensions.

Smaller Playchutes are available for those working with smaller groups in limited space or in a therapeutic setting, e.g. with the elderly, in physiotherapy work, with the hospital or bed bound and with other specific special needs groups.

VAT at 17.5% is payable on all orders from Britain and other European Community countries.

POSTAGE and packing is £12 + VAT for Playchutes 7m and larger, £10 + VAT for Playchutes between 5 and 6m and £8 + VAT for 4m and under. Postage and packing is not included in the prices above. PAYMENT - we will invoice you at the time of ordering and always appreciate prompt payment when you have received your Playchute. Payment must be made in British pounds sterling.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS will need to provide an International Money Order in British pounds sterling or arrange direct credit in British pounds sterling. Payment can also be made by Pay Pal - details available on request.

DESIGNING YOUR PLAYCHUTE

Your Playchute can be any combination and sequence of the following colours (listed in Rainbow order):

Remember: Check the number of colours you have chosen are divisible into the number of sections in the size Playchute you have chosen. For example:7 metre chute = 20 sectionscolour choices:2 colours repeated 10 times
4 colours repeated 5 times
5 colours repeated 4 times
10 colours repeated twice

Centre Hole and ‘Caps'

Our Playchutes, of 5 metres and above, have a hole in the centre of approximately 46 cms/18". We incorporate the hole into much of our play as do most groups.

Occasionally groups like to have the option of a covered centre or ‘Cap.' We are able to provide these at an additional charge of £10 but this needs to be ordered at the same time as the chute as they are Velcroed together. Playchutes of 4 metres and under are made with smaller holes unless a cap is requested.

Wheelchair Chutes

A wheelchair user We have designed a Playchute specifically for use with wheelchairs. This chute has a detachable centre circle more than a metre in diameter to allow for wheelchair passage when required. The price is as for regular Playchutes plus £25 for the special ‘Cap.'

Please note: this design is only appropriate for Playchutes of 6m or more.

Handholds

For safety reasons, we do not put loops or hand-holds on our Playchutes. Accidents can happen when hands become entangled and such handholds are an unnecessary addition to any play parachute.

Choice of booklet of games - Either "Playchute Games" (suitable for all ages) or "Playchute Games for the Early Years" (written for 0 to 5 years). Both booklets compiled by SeamStress Ltd.
